Not Just Anuvver Beano was filmed and recorded at the Hammersmith Apollo in December 2015. The album also features a brand new studio recording of the track One Fing Anuvver which originally was on their debut album 40 years ago.
Over the past two years they have had a new hit album That’s What Happens on Warner Brothers Record, headlined The Royal Variety Show, sold out The Royal Albert Hall, performed an arena tour with Status Quo and performed at the VE Day Concert which was televised on BBC TV.
Chas & Dave began writing and performing songs together in 1972, having been friends since the early sixties. Now celebrating their 50th Anniversary by recording their first original album in 27 years, which is a mixture of vintage rock & roll songs and new renditions of their own rockney classics. The album also features special guest stars such as Jools Holland, Buddy Holly’s drummer Jerry Allison & Hugh Laurie.
They reached the top twenty in 1979 with Gertcha, which became a nationwide catchphrase. This was followed by The Sideboard Song. In 1980 they hit the charts with Rabbit, which reached no. 8 in the charts and had a no. 2 record in 1982 with Ain’t No Pleasing You.
Chas & Dave are great musicians and know how to give an audience a good time. They have gained a cult audience of both young and old, and due to public demand they are about to be seen together on stage once more. They will be performing all the hits that made this Cockney duo famous.
