Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is thrilled to be welcoming a tribute to one of the greatest musical icons of all time, Michael Jackson, with MJ History – celebrating the 30th anniversary of the BAD Tour hitting the UK (Sun 11 Nov, 7.30pm)
Thirty years ago, Michael Jackson’s famed Bad Tour hit the UK. The concerts grossed £100m, supporting an album that was No.1 in 25 countries, shifting an incredible 45 million copies. Five of its songs went on to top the UK charts. MJ History captures the moment with superb musicianship, electrifying choreography, stunning audio-visual projections and jaw-dropping special effects. More than that, it will take you from The Jackson 5, through The Jacksons and on to MJ’s rise to become The King of Pop.
The star of the show sounds precisely like Michael, featuring live pitch-perfect vocals; looks exactly like Michael thanks to three hours in make-up and elaborate finely-detailed costumes; and moves just like Michael, mirroring every moment from the legendary dance moves right down to the smallest nuance and mannerism. The show includes hits such as The Way You Make Me Feel, Man in the Mirror, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, Another Part of Me, Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean, Can You Feel It and many more.
MJ History is at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds for one night only, Sun 11 Nov at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale at the Box Office, call 01284 769505, book online at www.theatreroyal.org/shows/mj-history/ or visit the theatre in person.
