News: Ska Festival results for The Downsetters

The London International Ska Festival 2012 Band Competition

The Downsetters entered the Ska Festival at the start of December against top bands from all over the world, as reported in GVL News a few weeks ago - Stan tells us what happened......

The Downsetters finished 8th out of 363 bands from around the world that entered the competition. Although we didn't win, we were the highest UK band, which is not a bad achievement as we were up against some big names. It was a real honour to take part in the competition and we would like to say a BIG thank you to all the 270 people that voted for us.

As a thank you to all our fans and friends The Downsetters have recorded a special Xmas single  'Rudolph Was A Rude Boy' which is available now as FREE download from  http://thedownsetters.bandcamp.com/track/rudolph-was-a-rude-boy . Fans can also make a donation (if they wish) for the track and any monies raised will be donated to The Tree House Appeal in Ipswich. The single is getting plenty of radio play worldwide on online stations and is becoming a favourite amongst Ska & Reggae lovers. It would great if you could give the single a mention on your site.
