The thrilling story of the little puppet who dreams of being a real boy is brought vividly to life by Suffolk-based theatre company, Common Ground. run by Pat Whymark and Julian Harries. Over the last 4 years, they have built up a loyal following for their blend of joyful theatricality, song, dance and physical comedy.
Pinocchio's adventures - his encounters with the blue fairy, the devious fox and cat, the terrible secret of "Funtown" and the terrifying giant shark form a parable of the often tortuous process of growing up and joining the human race.
Cast includes Julian Harries, well-known to Suffolk theatre-goers from his work with The New Wolsey Theatre - (Widow Twankey in Aladdin (2009-10), Guy in Chorus of Disapproval), Eastern Angles Christmas Shows - (recently The Haunted Commode and Gills Around The Green), Southwold Summer Theatre and Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds (Dick Turpin’s Last Ride), Stefan Atkinson & Tracey Elster, both Eastern Angles Xmas show favourites and young actors Joseph Reed (Dark Tales, The Bell, A Curious Dance) & Josh Overton (Various shows with the New Wolsey Youth Theatre)
