Razorlight announce Forest gig

 

Razorlight will play an East Anglian date this summer in Thetford Forest. This is the final act to be announced at the venue as part of Forestry Commission Live Music 2012.

RazourlightOne of the key guitar bands of the past decade, Razorlight has shifted over 4 million albums, sold out arena tours, headlined numerous festivals and appeared on the cover of magazines from NME to Vogue. Currently working on their fourth album, the previous three; ‘Up All Night’, ‘Razorlight’ and ‘Slipway Fires’ generated hits like ‘Golden Touch’, ‘Rip It Up’, ‘Somewhere Else’, ‘In The Morning’, ‘Wire to Wire’ and the chart-topping ‘America’.

Forestry Commission Live Music concerts are renowned for their safe and relaxed atmosphere in fantastic forest settings. Income generated from Forestry Commission Live Music ticket sales is spent on improving the local forest for both people and wildlife.

Alfie Boe announces forest concerts

 

Alfie Boe is the latest act to announce participation in this year’s Forestry Commission Live Music with a brace of concerts this summer.

Alfie BoeThe classically trained tenor has become well established as one of the country’s most popular artists with acclaimed, sell-out, live concerts and 2 Top Ten, ‘platinum’ selling albums in the last twelve months. Theatre-goers have witnessed sensational performances in shows such as ‘Les Misérables’ in the West End and ‘La Bohème’ on Broadway; and with albums like ‘Alfie’ and ‘Bring Him Home’, Alfie Boe’s interpretation of the most revered and timeless songs has ensured an ever-growing fan base.  Alfie’s forest debut will see him performing from his current albums as well as from classical and proms repertoire.

Forestry Commission Live Music concerts are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere, and income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forest for both people and wildlife.

Ed Sheeran announces Forest concert for the summer

 

Ed Sheeran has announced a special gig in his home county of Suffolk next summer where he will perform amongst the trees at Thetford Forest as part of Forestry Commission Live Music.

Following a succession of profile-raising EP’s, his No 1 debut album ‘+’ released last September has been a continuous fixture in the album charts and returned to the No 1 position at the beginning of 2012. It has generated infectious hit singles like ‘The A Team’, ‘Lego House’, and ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’. Music industry accolades include 2011 Q Award for Breakthrough Artist and BBC Radio 1's Teen Awards best single for ‘The A Team’.

Forestry Commission Live Music is an independent programme bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forests for both people and wildlife. Will Young announces summer forest concert dates for 2012

 

Hot off the back of a sold-out UK tour, and Number One platinum album, Will Young has announced a tour of nation’s forests in 2012 as part of Forestry Commission Live Music.

Will YoungIn the ten years since winning Pop Idol, Will Young has sold over 9 million records and crafted some of the deftest British music of his era. A succession of hits including ‘Jealousy’, ‘Leave Right Now’, ‘Don’t Let Me Down / You and I’, ‘Light My Fire’, ‘All Time Love’, ‘Who Am I’ and ‘Changes’ from multi-platinum albums like ‘From Now On’, ‘Friday’s Child’ and ‘Keep On’ has ensured a chart presence across the whole decade.

This year the release of Will Young’s fifth studio album, ‘Echoes’ sees his musical career develop further. The album, produced by Richard X, entered the charts at No 1 and has sold over 300,000 copies in the UK so far. Plan B announces forest tour for 2012

 

Plan B has announced a series of concerts in forests next summer. The uniquely talented artist is the first act to announce multiple dates as part of Forestry Commission Live Music which will see him perform in spectacular woodland locations across the country.

Plan BPlan B (Ben Drew) singer-songwriter, rapper, actor and film director came to prominence with the 2006 release of the critically acclaimed hip hop album ‘Who Needs Actions When You Got Words’. His next project, the soul-influenced ‘The Defamation of Strickland Banks’, takes the listener on a journey of a man who finds success hard to handle and then hits rock bottom. Released in 2010, the album went on to become the fifth biggest seller of the year and continued a chart presence through 2011. Featuring crafted hit singles like ‘Stay Too Long’, ‘Prayin’’ and ‘The Recluse’, awards have abounded for artist and album alike including Brit Award for Best British Male and a trio of Ivor Novellos: Ben Drew – Songwriter of the Year; The Defamation Of Strickland Banks – Album of The Year and ‘She Said’ - Most Performed Work.
