DESIGNER/ARTWORKER

Mansion House Publishing seeks to recruit an experienced designer/artworker to join our small and very busy team. We produce 18 In Touch titles every month and an expanding range of monthly/quarterly publications including Grapevine. We also offer a complete design service and design and print a huge range of products for our customers.

In this varied and demanding role you will need creative flair and proven ability in the use of InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

You will need to work effectively and efficiently under pressure, have a keen eye for detail and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

This exciting opportunity would suit someone who has the motivation and desire to work in a friendly, fast paced environment. This is a permanent, full time position. Standard hours 9am-5pm but applicants must be adaptable to work to the demands of the job with some evening hours when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • All-round design competence across print (digital*)
  • Magazine layout (deadline driven)
  • Ability to follow strict templates
  • Ad design and concept development
  • Assisting the studio manager as required
  • Taking conceptual work through to print ready artwork
  • Occasionally liaising with clients
  • Any other duties as required

Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Accuracy, quality and consistency of work and attention to detail
  • The ability to create inspiring page layouts
  • Excellent communication skills when working in a team

Essential:

  • At least one years’ experience in a studio environment.

*Digital skills would be advantageous.

Salary dependent on experience.

JUNIOR ARTWORKER

Mansion House Publishing seeks to recruit a junior artworker to join our small and very busy team.

You will be a recent graduate with a design or associated degree or come from another studio environment having been working as an artworker or junior designer in applications such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

You will need to have a portfolio or be able to supply a reference from your current employer if already working.

This is a junior role and training will be given. To begin with your tasks will be to assist the more senior team members in designing and preparing print ready artwork. However this is a busy environment so you will be expected to pick things up quickly.

You will need to be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn and commit to a busy studio environment. This is a permanent, full time position. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / TELESALES

Mansion House Group seeks to recruit a Customer Service Representative / Telesales to join our small and very busy team. Mansion House Group incorporates Mansion House Publishing, Colourplan Print, Boswell Office Supplies and Musical Marketing and the successful candidate will sell across the group including advertising, design, print and office supplies.

Candidates applying for this role should have previous experience within sales, telesales, telemarketing or advertising sales.

Responsibilities:

  • The role will involve account management of existing clients where you will up-sell and cross-sell to generate increased revenue.
  • You will also proactively develop new business by lead generation and outbound calling, ensuring you are fully equipped with all the relevant information to pitch successfully.
  • Your primary objective will be to increase advertising revenues, offering the complete product portfolio.
  • You will ensure accurate and responsible administration (including payments) for all bookings.

Competencies: 

  • The successful candidate needs to be target-driven, commercially minded, organised, efficient, self-moviated and posess a strong work ethic.
  • An engaging telephone manner and the ability to build rapport both over the phone and through well written emails is critical.
  • In this deadline driven environment it is critical to present a supportive, positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the job, the company and your colleagues at all times.

Knowledge of the local print/publishing industry is desirable (though not critical).

In addition to your normal duties you may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

You will work to an agreed target. Commission rates will be discussed at interview. Your sales target and commission rate are subject to review from time to time, but at least once per year, normally in January.
