Festival Experiments with Informal, Free Live Stream Concert.

The community led, diverse festival that is Roman River has announced their first, experimental, informal, free live-streamed concert, from their artistic director’s neighbour’s garden.

The recent easing of lockdown restrictions has allowed festival director Orlando Jopling to rehearse (at a safe distance) with local musician friends for the first time for three months.

Together they will perform the first Rasumovsky quartet by Beethoven this Saturday, 27th June 6pm.

The team behind the festival hope this will be the first of a series of Roman River livestreams, to keep us all going until we can meet again.

The aim is to set up a Zoom call 6pm, to allow organisers, performers and audience to meet and chat should you feel niclined. Then they will make the actual livestream of the Beethoven via YouTube (which they believe will result in a higher quality sound and video).

Links will be sent out on Friday. To be sure you are kept in the loop sign up to recieve the Roman River Festival newsletter from their website, just click here.
