Bish Bash Busking

Bishop’s Stortford longest running music festival returns in 2022 to celebrate both the Queen’s Jubilee and twenty years of Stortford Music Festival.  It is a not-for-profit event run by the local community for the benefit of the local community

Did you see us on Easter Monday in the Market Square in Bishop’s Stortford?  …

Promoting this year’s BISH BASH, friends of the Stortford Music Festival came along to the Market Square in Bishop’s Stortford to give the good folk of the town a taste of some of the local talent that will be performing at BISH BASH on the 3rd & 4th June at Sworder’s Field.

Big thanks to Cider at Yours and Ryan Thwaite for taking up the mic and helping to promote BISH BASH.  Local acoustic duo Cider at Yours features Richard Pink on guitar and Becs on vocal, so come along and cheer them on at the Bandstand acoustic stage on Friday 3rd.  BISH BASH stalwart, singer-songwriter Ryan Thwaite entertained passers-by with his upbeat tunes and enthusiasm – even if he couldn’t quite get the date right – It’s the 3rd and 4th June, Ryan! Ryan will be also performing at BISH BASH.

More musical events are planned in the run up to BISH BASH – the team will be back in the Market Square on Monday 2nd May and you can find some lazy Sunday afternoon vibes at the Bandstand in Sworder’s Field on Sunday 1st May and Sunday 29th May.

Grab your picnic blankets, bring a huge smile, and get a taster of what BISH BASH is all about.

There’s also a full-on fun evening of raucous traditional seafaring music planned for Friday 7 May at the United Reform Church Hall featuring the Old Time Sailors.  More details and tickets the website – here. If you’ve never heard of these guys, then come and check them out, especially if you’ve never seen a band with seventeen members!

Don’t forget – BISH BASH is a two day music festival featuring dozens of acts.  Headliners include EMF, The Boo Radleys and Uncle Funk’s Disco Inferno.  There’s music, comedy, children’s entertainment, food, a beer tent and much much more.

See https://www.stortfordmusicfestival.org.uk  for tickets, the full line-up and more details about tickets, volunteering and sponsorship opportunities.
