Brooks’ Blues

BROOKS WILLIAMS – BROOKS’ BLUES

Cambridgeshire-based Brooks Williams is from Statesboro, Georgia USA (the town made famous by country-blues legend Blind Willie McTell and his song Statesboro Blues), creates a super-charged acoustic music that draws heavily on both his blues and Americana roots. The resulting sound can be described as Blues-icana. For his latest album Brooks has covered a whole host of blues standards together with one of his favourite Chuck Berry track – You Never Can Tell. The recordings were made ‘old school’ over three days in August last year. They were recorded, mixed and mastered by Andy Bell and this CD is up to the usual high standards we’ve come to expect from recently appointed patron of the Milkmaid Blues Club in Bury St Edmunds.

Tracks : From Four Until Late/My Babe/Trouble In Mind/You Never Can Tell/Save The Bones/Backwater Blues/On The Rolling Sea/Statesboro Blues/Mother Earth/Sitting On Top Of The World/Hesitation Blues/I Will Do My Last Singing
