Cosmic Puffin Music Festival 2016

Cosmic Puffin is back for a ninth year!

The friendliest charity music festival around, renowned for providing great value, is taking place over the May Day weekend (29th April to 2nd May) at Essex Outdoors Mersey and promises revelers ‘The 100 best bands you’ve never heard of with the 1,000 best friends you never knew you had!’.

An eclectic selection of well-established professional bands and up-and-coming acts play across eight stages, offering everything from rock and reggae on the main Cosmic Stage, psychedelic sounds at My Choonz, an acoustic vibe on the River Stage and the genial eccentricity of aHulaBula.

This year sees the introduction of the all new Deano’s Stage, featuring a myriad of bands, performers and artists giving their time for free, plus old favourites such as the Something Else Tea Tent, the Mad Hatters’ Dance Tent, and the Breaking Out Stage for emerging young stars of the future.

But it’s not all music – crafts and activities include a great Kids’ Area full of fun things to make and do, a Circus skills workshops, an amazing willow maze, and lots for adults such as Latin Dance Classes, the infamous ‘Quizmic Puffin’ quiz and a unique variety of stalls.

Best of all the weekend won’t break the bank and there is enough to keep the whole family happy. Kids get in Scot free, with teens getting a reduced rate and adults getting in for as little as £55 for the whole weekend, which includes three nights of camping!

The food’s also reasonably priced and includes everything from curries to burgers to local Mersea Island oysters! Not to mention a fully licensed bar and first class facilities – real loos, hot showers and camping by the sea.

The charities being supported this year include:
Bliss, The National Autistic Society, ALDLife, AnimalsAsia & Help Roxi Walk.
So you’ll be contributing to a good cause as well as supporting local music.
