Deacon Blue will be gracing the Newmarket Nights stage on Friday 16th August, as they bring their acclaimed ‘All The Old 45s – The Very Best of Deacon Blue‘ tour to the July course.

One of Scotland’s most illustrious musical exports, Deacon Blue have sold a staggering seven million sales worldwide. Their impressive chart record spans twelve top 40 singles and eight top 20 albums, which includes 1989’s ‘When The World Knows Your Name’ and 1994’s ‘Our Town’, both of which hit the #1 spot. Celebrating thirty-fivee years, the band unveiled their greatest hits anthology collection ‘All The Old 45s – The Very Best of Deacon Blue’ last year. Expect to hear many of their timeless hits including ‘Real Gone Kid’, ‘Fergus Sings the Blues’ and ‘Dignity’ when they rock the racecourse.

Newmarket Nights continues to be the premier entertainment destination for the East. Renowned for combining an electric evening at the races with a spectacular evening concert in an informal and relaxed open-air setting, the award-winning series is set to return for 2024. 

The concerts continue to bring some of the nation’s biggest music talents to the green, with recent headliners including Bastille, Anne-Marie, Olly Murs, Pete Tong and The Script. In addition to world-class live music, the events provide a selection of culinary delights for all, ranging from street food to Newmarket’s array of exceptional restaurants.
