Deadpan Dee Returns To Norwich

The dean of deadpan comedy and master of the one-liner laced with dry humour is on his way to Norwich Theatre Royal.

Jack Dee is promising an evening of entertainment in his new show Jack Dee: Off The Telly when he steps onto the Norwich Theatre Royal stage on April 26 2020.

He said: “In these difficult and uncertain times people need hope, and a ray of sunshine to brighten their day. That’s very much where I come in.”

Jack’s TV career began in 1991 with Channel Four’s The Jack Dee Show before he went on to star in many long-established small screen shows.

In 2009, he replaced Humphrey Lyttelton as the chairman of BBC Radio 4’s adored I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue which is described as the antidote to panel games, and he has also co-written and starred in four series of the BBC Two sitcom, Lead Balloon.

His other credits include TV comedies Bad Move and Josh, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Jack Dee’s Helpdesk, Jack Dee’s Happy Hour and Jack Dee Live At The Apollo. He laughed: “In fact I have probably appeared in every TV show with my name in the title.”

Jack Dee: Off The Telly is at the Norwich Theatre Royal on Sunday April 26, 2020 at 8pm. Tickets £10-£24.50.  Show suitable for 14+.
