Eastern Angles are Back with a New Show for Summer

Eastern Angles are delighted to announce the return of live performance to the Sir John Mills Theatre this June, and not only that they will be offering a ‘live to your living room’ experience too.

Sam Snape and the Curse of the Chillesford Chough runs at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Ipswich from 10th-19th June with live streaming online for every performance.

Written by Julian Harries and directed by Ivan Cutting, the unique ‘panto alternative’ is an off the wall comedy. The show takes its cues from the world of film noir and features original live music, hilarious songs and it promises to leave you smiling from ear to ear.

Tickets will be going on general sale Monday 17th May, with a pre-sale for members on Monday 10th May. With limited capacity for in-person performances, you can ensure you get your front row seat by becoming a Copperfield member.

If you purchase a Copperfield membership today, you will be able to take advantage of priority booking opening on Monday 10th May. Find out more here.

The safety of our audiences, volunteers, creatives and staff is paramount and the team at Eastern Angles have carefully considered the live theatre experience, to ensure you get maximum enjoyment and safety. The raked seating is gone (for now) and in its place are cabaret style tables bookable in groups of 2, 3, 4 or 6. Drinks and ice-creams will be available to pre-order and delivered to your table, there’s extra ventilation, a reduced capacity and of course hand sanitiser aplenty. Plus, the brand-new Eastern Angles Centre provides a one-way-system and plenty of room to socially distance.

They understand that some people aren’t quite ready to return to a building, therefore they also have a live theatre-at-home experience where the performance will be broadcast in real-time into your living room. With a 4-camera set up and all the cast wearing mics, you’re sure to never miss a beat. The broadcast will get you up close with the action and there’ll be access to exclusive behind the scenes content too.

Tickets will be £20 for all performances, with previews on 10th and 11th June at £10. You can book online at  or on the phone: 01473 211498 (Mon-Fri, 10am-2pm).
