Uncle Funk & The Boogie Wonderband

The UK’s biggest and best live 70s disco band, Uncle Funk & The Boogie Wonderband, return to Braintree Arts Theatre on August 11th after their sell-out performance at the venue last year.

Uncle Funk & The Boogie Wonderband, who are based in the south east have played shows all over the world and are festival favourites at Glastonbury where they are booked every year to headline a stage.
Playing what they describe as “The Greatest Hits Of Disco Volume 1”, the amazing renditions and eye-popping costumes make their show one of the most exciting live events you will see all year!

Uncle Funk & The Boogie Wonderband regularly sell out venues all over the area, including Haverhill Arts, Dunmow Foakes Hall, Rhodes Arts in Bishop’s Stortford, along with their own fancy dress Christmas shows in Saffron Walden and Bishop’s Stortford which are legendary sell-out events every year.

This year the band have been invited back to Standon Calling Festival in Hertfordshire where they headline the opening night. Other headliners include Bryan Ferry, Paloma Faith and George Ezra! They can also been seen headlining the Formula 1 and Moto GP events at Silverstone race track this summer, and VW festivals Camper Jam and Bug Jam.

Singer Uncle Funk said “We’re really looking forward to playing in Braintree again after the amazing reaction we had there last year. Dust off your boogie shoes and get ready for some outrageous 70s disco!
See you on the dancefloor!”

You heard the man!

The show in Braintree takes place on Saturday 11th August. Tickets for the event are priced at £19 and can be bought from the Arts Theatre by calling 01376 556 354 or online from www.braintreeartstheatre.com.
