The independent theatre and music production company Red Entertainment is proud to announce that their new touring comedy show, ‘GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN’ will be produced in partnership with Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, where the show will launch its UK summer tour on April 10th before embarking on an extensive UK tour.

This pacey new show from the classic comedy pens of writing partnership Julie Coombe and John MacIsaac (who wrote the hugely successful comedy sketch show Hormonal Housewives) takes no prisoners in its roller coaster comedy romp through everything life might throw at the modern day woman: dating, relationships, breakups, fashion, dieting, chocolate, more dieting, sex, going out, staying in, wine, more wine and of course, men. And, for added entertainment, the entire show is set in a karaoke bar. Cue the music!

The show stars the legendary Linda Nolan as Karen, *TV personality Jess Wright, X-Factor finalist Niki Evans as Jackie, and Olivier Award Winner Leanne Jones as Angie. (Note: *Jess Wright appears until Friday 8th May; new cast member to be announced for dates from May 9th to June 14th.)

Some of the biggest and most iconic pop anthems will be featured including 9 to 5, We Are Family, Get The Party Started, I’m In the Mood For Dancing and of course Cyndi Lauper’s classic Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, ensuring by the end of the night everyone will be dancing – and singing! – in the aisles.

Matt Brinkler, Executive Producer at Red Entertainment comments “Our goal is to bring people to the theatre for a great night out. Hormonal Housewives was so successful that we jumped at the chance of working with the writers again on a world premiere of new work. Julie Coombe and John MacIsaac have come up with an absolute cracker of a show – it’s musical, it’s enormous fun and it’s very entertaining. We’re also very excited about working in partnership with a theatre for the first time since we founded Red six years ago – Stafford Gatehouse are hugely supportive and we’ll be opening Girls Just Wanna Have Fun there on April 10th.
