Grapevine and FolkEast

folkeast-logoGrapevine Magazine is thrilled to be working as media partners with FolkEast for the fifth incarnation of East Anglia’s fabulous folk frenzy to be held at Glemham Hall on 19th, 20th and 21st August this year.  Grapevine has been promoting live entertainment in East Anglia for over 25 years and, as true blue Eastfolkers, have had a presence at FolkEast since it began.

This year however the team at the magazine will be rolling up their sleeves, chomping on slabs of treacle and manning the Media Village.  In the village, young people between 12 and 17 can learn what it is like to write, review, photograph and work to deadlines.  There will even be interviews with some of the awesome line up that will be appearing on the various stages over the weekend.

Grapevine’s resident photo journalist, Tony Bell says:

“I fell in love with FolkEast from the moment I arrived all those years ago.  It is my personal festival highlight of the year.  I am so looking forward to Grapevine becoming part of the fabric of the event and sharing what it is like to work in the media.”

FolkEast’s John Marshal-Potter said:

“Grapevine have always been very supportive of our festival, for us to be working with them on the media village is great because if anyone understands what FolkEast is about it is these people.”

Between us we are working on creating something new and different for young people to get involved in while enjoying the unique atmosphere that is FolkEast.
