Last Chance To See Dick Whittington!

THERE’S STILL TIME TO JOIN THE ADVENTURE!

Our traditional family pantomime Dick Whittington has been delighting audiences since Dec 1, and with performances running until Jan 14 there’s still plenty of time for you to come along for the ride.

Join young Dick as he leaves his home in ‘Boring St Yawning’ to find his fortunes in London, but instead finds the city overrun with rapacious rats. Joining forces with acrobatic Tommy the Cat, he begins his adventure to overcome the villainous schemes of London’s ‘Rat Mayor’ Sir Reginald Ratfiend and his sidekick Nibbles. Along the way he’ll meet the beautiful Alice Fitzwarren, her fastidious father Francis (and maybe even her uncle Fernando) and he’ll be dragging his curiously alluring mother, Dame Winona Whittington along for the ride too! They’re all overseen by the giggly Fairy Pearl who will do her best to keep them safe as they all board the good ship Leaking Lizzie destined for Love Island.

There’s still availability in the last weeks of the show, with afternoon and evening performances and even three-show days on Sat 30 Dec and Sat 6 Jan, so there’s definitely still time to book your place aboard this boat!

There will also be a Relaxed Performance Fri 12 Jan at 1.30pm, where the show will have adjustments to provide a more informal atmosphere. The lights will be dimmed and the auditorium lights will stay on with the sound and music played at a reduced volume and the ‘surprise’ elements of the show (i.e. pyrotechnics) will be removed. This means that anyone who might normally become overwhelmed by such elements of a theatrical performance can get to enjoy the magic too, with any assisting companions being offered a complimentary ticket.

To book your tickets just call the Box Office team on 01284 769505, visit www.theatreroyal.org or come and see us in person. Please note, the Relaxed Performance is not available to book via the website.See our review HERE.
