John has an enviable reputation as an instrumental virtuoso and is one of the most prolific figures on the folk scene. A leading interpreter of English folk music, he is a superb singer and a great composer of songs and tunes. John fills the room with an irresistibly joyful noise, topping his sparkling squeezebox playing with lusty vocals, presented with wit and humour. “English music’s mighty heart of oak”.
The Everyman Folk Club meets on the last Friday of each month during January to May and September to November. Doors open at 7.00pm and all events start at 7.30pm prompt. With Residents, Floor Singers and a Booked Guest Artist on every occasion, there is always a warm welcome for new performers and audience members and our friendly, traditional folk club.
