Live Music is Back in Suffolk to Help Escape the Lockdown Blues.

Promoter OEP Live! is set to combine the love of cars and music into the first live music event since lockdown.

The Midsummer Drive-In Concerts are being held over the weekend of August 14th/15th & 16th 2020 in the picturesque village of Lavenham at the Lavenham Sports Pavilion Arena.

Strict safety guidelines will be implemented, including the option to remain seated in you car or in your private picnic area located to the passenger side of your car. The next car will be placed, as the current guidelines recommend – two meters away thus complying with social distancing. Cars will be staggered in blocks for the best viewing.

To enhance the live sound attendees will be issued with brand new, high quality headphones on entry, with the live music being transmitted from the stage PA system. This will allow the volume to be controlled personally and cause no noise to nearby houses.

Children will be allowed over eight years of age. Should they become bored or tired of the live music, then they do have an alternative and can sit in the car.

In the event of inclement weather, unlike a regular festival where the car is some distance from the arena, at Lavenham, you can use the car as a shelter and with headphones your sound enjoyment continues.

Food can be brought in your car but no alcohol. There will be a bar within the arena, drinks can be ordered by phone from the bar and they will be delivered to your car.

Bin liners will be issued upon your arrival and any rubbish should be taken away in your car back with you to be disposed of, as there will be no rubbish bins within the site. Again a further health & Safety measure.

Gates open at 5pm on each of the three days. The shows starts at 7pm and end at 9.30pm

  • Friday 14h August The Robbie Gladwell Band featuring Harry Green
  • Saturday 15th August UK Queen-Queen Greatest Hits show
  • Sunday 16th August A Saucerful of Floyd -The Pink Floyd Show
