The 3foot People Festival, the UK’s largest outdoor festival exclusively for pre-school children, returns this month at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex on the 26, 27 & 28 June.
Tickets for Thursday 28 have now sold out, but there’s still time to join in on the fun with tickets available for Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27.
Prices start at £2 for under 1’s and go up to £12 for over 2’s and adult carers. Festival goers can pick up 3foot’s last remaining tickets until 4pm the day before the event – subject to availability. Karen Frett from Chelmsford City Events, who are organising the event, says: “Tickets are selling at quite a pace but there are still some remaining, so my advice would be to snap up tickets quick.”
All 3foot’s activities, shows, performances and interactive areas are included in the ticket price – no hidden charges on site. These take place within the festival’s beautifully assorted tents creating a village for big and little festival goers to explore:
Sports Zone – sponsored by St Cedd’s: Bringing an abundance of ‘have a go’ sessions for the little ones to develop their balance and co-ordination skills – including: athletics, basketball, cycling, football, gymnastics, hockey, martial arts, mini trampolines and tennis.
Play, Make and Do – Sponsored by Seymour House Day Nurseries: An area promoting the development of creativity, through interactive involvement. Expect endless crafting – including wand making, sensory and messy play, the return of boxed in ‘cardboard kingdom’ with boxes kindly provided by EBMPAPST, a soft play tent and plenty more.
Theatre and Storytelling: Performances designed to entertain, whilst letting the imagination of mini festival goers go wild. Whether this is an intimate story time session within a secluded tented village, or one of the spectacular shows in our big tops. *several performances will be accompanied by BSL interpretation daily.
Music and Movement: This zone encourages Children to move, dance and shake. With activities ranging from a kiddies disco tent and multi-sensory sessions through to developmental musical and speech sessions and even relaxing activities including baby massage.
Animal Zone – Sponsored by New Hall School: Allowing you to get up close with some familiar animals. See farm favourites at the mini-petting farm like chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep and giant bunnies. For something a little more tropical, check out the mini exotic zoo – including animals such as parrots, snakes, bearded dragons and parakeets.
Interactive Areas: 3foot loves an interactive area and returning this year is the popular ‘Horse World’, a playground of rocking horses and more to be explored and enjoyed whilst providing the much-loved chill out zone for adults. The bouncy castles are back too, with an exciting inflatable helter-skelter for 2018 – plus everybody’s favourite, the face painting tent. This year will also see the brand new Joskins Fayre an all new interactive carnival. 3foot sponsors Fundamentally Children also return with fun packed play-zone and Essex & Suffolk water will have their Flo vehicle -promoting how to reduce plastic waste at home.
