Busker’s Music Marathon

Here is a little something we came across that sounds interesting and is raising money for a good cause.

If you know the King’s Head at Bildeston you will know that there are regular “Busker’s Nights” held at the pub.   One of the regular buskers is undergoing cancer treatment at Addenbrook’s hospital and this inspired landlord Nigel to help out by running what he is calling a “Busker’s Music Marathon” starting at 8pm on Saturday 30th April.   At the time of writing Nigel has 14 acts lined up to fit into a three and a half hour slot.

The Kings Head itself will make a donation to Addenbrooks and they will be looking for donations from buskers and the audience as well – and there will be a raffle.

Many of us know friends who have fought and won the battle against cancer, a lot of whom have been successfully treated at Addenbrooks.

All that Nigel is asking is that you get down to the Kings Head on Saturday 30th April and give generously whilst enjoying the delights of a Buskers Night.
