Grapevine Sponsors Indie Category at 2019 NMG Awards

Grapevine Magazine is delighted to announce that it is to sponsor the Indie category at this year’s NMG Awards. The showcase event takes place at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds on Friday 6th September.

The New Music Generator Awards are now in their 7th year and celebrate the achievements and nurtures the potential of up and coming music acts across East Anglia. It’s a bit like East Anglia’s own BRIT Awards.

Artists are nominated in various categories and a panel of judges decide the winners in each category. A further selection of categories is decided by the public and include the opportunity for artists to show appreciation for their favourite recording engineer and small venue.

Performances at this year’s event come courtesy of Gaffa Tape Sandy, Hollowstar, Fred’s House, 4th Labyrinth, Among The Citizens, Riviera and Mackenzie featuring Ffion Rebecca.

Grapevine Magazine has been listing, promoting and reviewing live music across the region since 1991. This association with NMG is a logical extension to the magazine’s activities.

Sue Stone, director of Musical Marketing, publishers of  Grapevine Magazine said:

I am delighted that Grapevine Magazine is be able to take this opportunity to promote upcoming talent in the region.  East Anglia has a rich vein of talent running through it, we need to spread the word and create opportunities for these up and coming artists.
