Ipswich Music Day 2019

On an icy January Monday the thoughts of ice cream cones, crop tops and lounging about in the park listening to music might seem just too far away to even consider thinking about – well, you’d be wrong!   Applications for Ipswich Music Day open at 10am today, Monday 21st January.

Ipswich Music Day is the largest free one-day music festival in the UK and is a brilliant celebration of music, culture and local talent. As well as programmed stages there are fairground rides for children and adults, street food and a marketplace.

Anyone can apply to perform at Ipswich Music Day. Whatever you play, whatever you sing, if you’re good enough we want to hear you!

Once again Grapevine Magazine will be there hosting the acoustic stage on the lawn of Christchurch Mansion.

All applications will be reviewed by Ipswich Borough Council’s selection committee and they will make contact with successful applicants on Tuesday 23rd April. Unfortunately, due to a large number of applicants Ipswich Borough Council cannot notify unsuccessful applicants.

Please note, Ipswich Borough Council aren’t able to pay fees or reimburse travel expenses. Ipswich Music Day is a free event and offers artists and bands a platform to perform to over 35,000 people across the day.
