OEP Live! at The Apex

John Hessenthaler of OEP Live! presents a variety of shows coming to The Apex, Bury St Edmunds in October. 

First up on Sunday 28th October, the number one Beach Boys tribute act The UK Beach Boys are popping by for a 1.30pm show.

Having performed throughout the UK and Europe since their formation in 2002, they re-create the superb sounds of Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys.They are also the only Beach Boys tribute to have appeared with the band themselves.

Having performed at top venues, theatres and major festivals, The UK Beach Boys really are ‘Keeping the Summer Alive’!

Golden Age of Variety on Tuesday 30th October, 1.30pm, is a journey back to the days when variety was king…

Variety clubs were booming all around the country and TV was a perfect launch vehicle for many of today’s stars. TV programmes such as Sunday Night at the London Palladium, New Faces and Seaside Special were all family favourites.

The Golden Age Of Variety is a special matinee show with fabulous entertainment which takes you back to the days when a variety show was packed with singers, comedy and speciality acts.

This show features international singer Melissa Radway-Vooght as Shirley Bassey, with special guests Kieran Sutcliffe (BBC Award winning crossover artiste), Lorrie Brown (international vocalist), Ulrike (International circus artiste), Colin Bourdiec (international multi-instrumentalist/comedy artist), plus Emily and Friends (ventriloquist, comedy and song show).

Your Chairman and show compere is Gary Birtles, who will keep the afternoon flowing and the audience amused!

Christmas comes to The Apex early, as two of the biggest bands in pop history, with two of the biggest Christmas hits, take to the stage on Tuesday 30th October, 7.45pm. It’s Slade and Mud II...
