Phil Jackson Releases New Album ‘Moving’

PhilJacksonMusic is a singer, songwriter, producer and Rutles keyboardist – and he’s proud to introduce the new 10 track album from Phil Jackson (his 6th album release), full of summer vibes.

Written and recorded in different locations around the UK, documenting journeys and moments, places and people, all with his particular strain of melancholy, longing and humour.

With organic acoustic, rock/pop sounds merging with edgy synth, keyboard, ambient moments and angelic vocal choruses, the album takes you on a journey of styles. With songs also featuring Neil Innes, John Halsey, Ken Thornton & Jay Goodrich of The Rutles and Merlyn Bruce of Mothership Studios in Suffolk, UK.

On the back of Phil’s first book release, a tour diary ‘Socks On (Life as a Rutle)’. ‘Moving’ is a collection of snapshot songs, from life on the road in The Rutles and journeys around the UK, into and out of darkness. From the Pembrokeshire hills of Wales to the shores of Aberdeen Scotland and Felixstowe Suffolk.

Previous Releases from Phil Jackson include: Sandy Sessions (Album, 2014), Running Away From Hugo (Album/Film, 2017), C Sides (Album/Film, 2018), Hands (Piano Album, 2018), The Long Road (Album, 2018), Christmas In The Habit (Single, 2018), Socks On: Life as a Rutle (Book, 2019).
