Wingfield Barns welcomes back Richard Digance on Saturday 25th June at 7:30 pm, who appeals to all ages, making him still one of Britain’s top comedy and music attractions with his brand of warm, nostalgic humour that strikes a chord with everybody.
He is a BAFTA nominated entertainer and a Gold Award recipient from The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters and is also listed in the Virgin Anthology of Music as an influential writer of comedic songs. Not many guitarists have played a duet with Queen’s Brian May, worked with Steve Martin, played an acoustic set with Status Quo or performed at The London Palladium with the late Robin Williams. Richard has 3 million YouTube hits, 27 albums and a Golden Anniversary tour, 50 years of songs and stories, coming in 2017. He is also a visual artist, an established poet, and his works are used around the world as English teaching aids for schools and universities. To add to his many talents, Richard composes incidental music for TV and film soundtracks, with a vast library of titles digitally recorded in his own studio in Wiltshire, UK.
