Roman River Music Festival

We have now released our 2016 Main Festival brochure for our main event in September through to October… But until then, more amazing music is coming our way in our Summer Festival which takes place between the 8-10th of July.

We start with two musicians, Elena Urioste and Tom Poster and Orlando Jopling play Fauré and Schumann, play Mistley Church on Friday 8th July at 8pm.

On Saturday 9th July at 11am in Old Church, West Bergholt we host this years’ YCAT winner, Timothy Ridout, who plays sublime viola music including Patterson, Telemann and Bach.

Also on the Saturday the 9th July at 6pm, we host Daniel Bates and friends who perform eclectic and virtuoso music showing off the versatility and colours of the wind ensemble, played by some to the leading players in the UK at Wivenhoe Church.

At 11am on Sunday 10th July, the MICA centre in West Mersea invite families to a special concert with Billy’s Band, led by LSO trumpeter Dan Newell.

Concluding the festival at East Mersea Church at 4pm on Sunday 10th July, will be the Oxford Lieder winners, Nick Mogg and Jâms Coleman, who will perform melodies from the best songsmiths in this idyllic church.

Why not invite your hot and tired city friends for a perfect summer weekend of wonderful concerts, food and coastal walks? There’s something for everyone, so we look forward to sharing these wonderful concerts with you all!
