This summer you can be part of something really special…
…. when four Roman River concerts are broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Immerse yourself in the music and culture of La Belle Époque, with international performers presenting an exhilarating programme including Debussy, Fauré and Ravel, in Coggeshall’s beautiful St Peter ad Vincula church.
With Roman River favourites pianist Tom Poster and violinist Elena Urioste we anticipate this exciting milestone will attract capacity audiences – be first in the queue by signing up at romanrivermusic.org.uk
Friends booking opened on 21 March – don’t miss out!
Roman River Friends receive regular newsletters, invites to events and priority booking.
Friends have been integral to Roman River’s growth from a weekend of chamber music and workshops for children to a thriving local charity genuinely inspiring change in communities across Colchester and beyond.

Sponsor a seat at Stoke
Did you know that ticket sales cover barely a fraction of putting on events?
We spend much of our time fundraising and couldn’t exist without financial support from grants, local businesses and generous, like-minded individuals who share our commitment to make the highest quality arts available to the greatest number of people across North Essex and South Suffolk.
One of the most remarkable things about the festival is our final weekend in Stoke by Nayland. Looking out over the Stour Valley, St Mary’s Church has to be one of our most impressive locations, enjoyed year-on-year by a growing number of superlative musicians.
We would like to involve you, our loyal supporters, in creating these wonderful opportunities within the festival and have opened a new scheme enabling people to sponsor a specific seat within the orchestra.
Sponsor a musician in memory of a loved one, support a player on a more unusual instrument or help one of your favourites return. This is your opportunity to be part of this very special weekend, get behind the scenes and meet the players who bring the music to life.
Seat sponsorship starts at £250. Please email Orlando to find out more…
Interns needed!
If you’re over 16 and interested in gaining work experience behind the scenes at a flourishing regional festival, please email your CV to Victoria – we’d love to hear how a placement with us would be valuable to you.
Why not volunteer at the Summer weekend?
Join our friendly team of over 50 volunteers. There is always a job for someone to do, regardless or age or skill, and we are hugely grateful for any help – without volunteers the festival would not happen.
