Some Guys Have All The Luck

From street busker to international superstar and now verging on becoming a national treasure – Rod Stewart has swaggered, charmed and crooned his way through 46 years of a versatile and enduring rock career.

Last year, his UK tour brought him to Norwich’s Carrow Road stadium and it also saw the tribute stage show Some Guys Have All The Luck grace the Norwich Theatre Royal stage for the first time.

A pure celebration of all things Rod Stewart, the theatrical production now returns to the theatre on July 11th with Paul Metcalfe at the mic, singing all of Rod’s greatest hits, from Maggie May, which was written 46 years ago, to other more recent favourites.

Paul delivers an authentic and charismatic performance, displaying the distinctive vocals and swaggering showmanship that has made Rod one of the most loved performers of all time, while packing in all the massive hits from his incredible back catalogue.

Paul said:

“Rod Stewart’s life has been graced with significant strokes of luck along the way and I’ve picked out some of these as key moments in the new show. Rod has made the most of this luck combining it with hard graft and talent and I feel as lucky to be performing his current songs as much as the classics like Maggie May.”

The show features songs from Rod Stewart’s time with The Faces as well as classic hits including Maggie May, Baby Jane, Do Ya Think I’m Sexy, Sailing and You’re in My Heart, Tonight’s The Night and timeless Motown tunes from the album Songbook.
