The Chessmen

Following the recent much publicized split of the band Luke formed, Vendettas, he has moved quickly and formed a new band sharply named The Chessmen. Luke, Ryan and Scott have an equal, embedded determination and drive to succeed in the industry with the distinctive garage sound they create together.

The Chessmen are already riding the wave of the underground northern indie scene, their first few gigs of 2016 have seen them wowing crowds with their energetic, dominant stage presence, tight performances and catchy songs. They have already caught the attention of the very well-known guitar company Hofner and have landed themselves an endorsement.

Since forming the band have been busy writing brand new material together, and recording in the studio with Embrace drummer Mike Heaton at his home studio  and with George Riley at The Penthouse studio, Leeds. Their highly anticipated new single GONZO, recorded with George Riley, mastered by Oskar Sutton, will be released 31st May 2016. The single has generated some great feedback since the band released the official music video for it on 21st April 2016. Following the single release The Chessmen will be touring up and down the UK.
