Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is delighted to welcome Full House Productions, producers of the hit musical Forever In Blue Jeans, to the stage with a tribute to legendary singer songwriter Karen Carpenter in Voice Of The Heart, backed by the Blue Jeans Band and singers.
It has now been over 30 years since Karen Carpenter passed away, she left behind an amazing catalogue of hit songs and golden memories, and is still played daily on radio stations throughout the UK. Voice Of The Heart is a stunning two hour show, performing a celebration of music from one of the world’s most popular duos, The Carpenters.
It will also feature great medleys put together from their many album tracks. Songs that link together from The Beatles; Please Mr Postman, Ticket To Ride and Help. A superb Bacharach and David medley featuring renditions of Do You Know The Way To San Jose, Always Something There To Remind Me, to name but two of these legendary hits. A Carpenters country medley with Top Of The World, Sweet Sweet Smile, & Jambalaya will be in great contrast to the sad and perhaps most popular songs on her last and most poignant album Voice Of The Heart. Plus many more timeless classics celebrating the voice of Karen Carpenter.
With superb vocals from Carole Gordon and the outstanding talent of the exceptional Blue Jeans Band and singers, this musical evening is guaranteed to lead Carpenters fans everywhere through a wonderful magical memory.
