Dennis Walker is quite simply a world class producer and songwriter, and I mean World Class. His record speaks for itself, nominated no less than 5 times for Grammy Awards and a winner 3 times. He has also won over 20 WC Handy Awards (now known as Blues Music Awards)
His Grammy wins were for his work on BB King’s star studded Blues Summit album, and for the Robert Cray albums Strong Persuader and Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark.
In addition to those he produced and wrote on Robert Cray’s Bad Influence and False Accusations albums.
He produced and wrote Woman Like Me, the album that relaunched the career of soul superstar Bettye LaVette.
He produced and co-wrote the two powerful John Campbell Elektra label albums Howlin’ Mercy and One Believer.
He produced and co-wrote Still The Rain, the album that put Karen Lovely on the world stage gaining 3 Blues Music Award nominations.
In addition Dennis has worked in collaboration with Boz Skaggs, Philipp Fankhauser, Lonesome Sundown, Ted Hawkins, Maria Muldaur and Phillip Walker.
