Mammal Not Fish

Mammal Not Fish are a local Norfolk band, made up by Davey Whales (Lead Singer and Guitar), Benji Parker (Bass and Backing Vocals), James Mass (Lead Guitar) and Joe Greenacre (Drums), who have been together since September last year and have been enjoying an incredibly successful first year.

They describe themselves as indie rock/funk with undertones of ska and reggae, and they have just released their debut EP ‘Wake Up’ with a near sell-out launch night at The Waterfront in Norwich on the 3rd June.

The band have been  featured in the EDP with a review of ‘Fake Tan’, which is a song about nightlife on Prince of Wales Road!

They’re also on the regular playlist at Future and have been interviewed by Stephen Bumfrey twice in the past 6 months on BBC Radio Norfolk.

This coming weekend, they are competing in the final of the Twisted Melon Battle of the Bands competition where we are in the final 6 out of over 40 acts – and the winner gets to play the main stage at Festival Too in Kings Lynn supporting either The Vamps or Gabrielle!

They are also playing a number of Festivals over the summer such as Whitenoise, CaLM, Barford and Ferryfest.

With a tour being planned for next year, and a debut album being written – keep your eyes peeled on these guys!
