Who says you can’t do a panto in summer? This joyous 5* show is back for one last time. Live in our auditorium and live streamed, The Snow Queen this half term is the perfect show to give the whole family an injection of Rock ‘n’ Roll panto fun. The Snow Queen runs from 27th May – 13th June with the original cast from December 2020.

Once again we’re inviting our audience to be in the show by submitting a homemade dancing video (this time to ‘Runaway Baby’ by Bruno Mars). Just as we did at Christmas, we’ll be ramping up the live show jeopardy by collecting a prop vital to the storyline during the show, from one lucky household.

We’re working really hard to ensure the New Wolsey is a Covid-safe environment when we open our doors on 27th May. Feedback from our customers at Christmas was overwhelmingly positive – they felt safe and confident in the measures we had in place. Due to Covid restrictions we won’t be able to serve food and drink inside the venue for this show, but patrons are welcome to bring their own (no nuts, glass or alcohol).

The Snow Queen has been re-imagined and written by Peter Rowe. The cast includes JAMES HAGGIE as ICICLE/SIMON & GUITAR/BASS, LUCY WELLS as GERDA & SAX/KEYS, ROMFORD SIMMONDS as
DAME SIGRID SMORGASBORD & BASS/GUITAR, ADAM LANGSTAFF as SVEN LUMPHAMMER/KAY & DRUMS, NATASHA LEWIS as PRIMROSE/SNOW QUEEN.

Ticket prices remain the same as in December 2020: £25 for the Live-Streamed show (per screen) and £25 per seat in the auditorium. Seats are being sold in bubbles and we have a maximum seating capacity in the theatre of 160 per show.

The choices of show will be: standard, captioned, audio described or British Sign Language interpreted shows (BSL available Fri 4 June at 7pm and Sat 12 June at 2pm). Please note the BSL option will replace the captions on the dates above. There will be have a Relaxed Performance version of the show, which will be available to watch from home.
