Norwich Theatre Announce Latest Line-up

Norwich Theatre has announced its latest line-up of shows for Norwich Theatre Royal and Norwich Theatre Playhouse, and Stage Two. There is something for everyone from classic Shakespeare, famous faces, side-splitting comedy, evenings with some fabulous people including Graham Norton and the return of a Norwich Theatre favourite: the musical SIX.

Norwich Theatre will host some great and thought-provoking plays from a full-scale production set in the murky Dark Ages of Shakespeare’s Macbeth at Norwich Theatre Playhouse on 9 February 2023 to The Woman in White on 12 September 2022 at Norwich Theatre Playhouse. Also heading to Norwich Theatre Royal is The Ocean at the End of the Land (5 – 9 September 2023), a stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel. This thrilling adventure of fantasy and myth will see audiences go on an epic journey of childhood once forgotten. The bestselling book The Beekeeper of Aleppo (Norwich Theatre Royal 9 – 13 May 2023) has been reimagined for the stage as a powerful show of a loss, war and a journey to hope.

Also on offer is a perfect evening with some of your favourite stars, including An Evening with Graham Norton. He will be sharing tales from his extraordinary career and his inspiration to start writing novels. Graham Norton heads to Norwich Theatre Royal on 27 September 2022. For those who could not help but be moved by Gareth Malone’s Choirs over the years, then Sing-Along-A-Gareth! at Norwich Theatre Royal on 27 November 2022 is just for you. Gareth, his band and a group of stellar singers will guide you through an evening of song. He will chat to the audience and find singing diamonds in the auditorium. Finally, don’t miss an evening with Norfolk favourite, Graham Cole at Norwich Theatre Playhouse on 15 October 2022. During the evening, Graham will take you through 50 years in film, TV and theatre.

The musical SIX returns to Norwich Theatre (16 – 21 May 2023), this time at its Royal venue. The sensation that has now reigned on Broadway and the West End gives the mic to Henry VIII’s wives to tell their tales. Once again Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society will take to the Norwich Theatre Royal stage with their adaptation of Kinky Boots (31 January – 4 February 2023).

To make you laugh, Norwich Theatre has some of the very best comedians coming up at the Playhouse, including Mark Thomas on 28 October 2022, Ivo Graham (8 November 2022), Rob Newman (25 November 2022) and Lucy Porter (26 January 2022).

Kids won’t miss out either with a fabulous line-up of shows just for them, including two at the Playhouse: CBBC favourites Danny & Mick in their latest show, Fright in the Museum, on 25 March 2023; and learning about the human body in Gastronaut: Utterly Revolting Science Show on 27 October 2022. In addition, Norwich Theatre Stage Two will be the home to Rise and Fall (25 October 2022), a poetic and intriguing performance for young audiences about holding on and letting go.
