Nowton Days/Nights Festival

OEP Live! are pleased to announce two fantastic Acts at Nowton Days / Nights Festival for Saturday, 26th May 2018 at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds.

The Bank Holiday Saturday Picnic Concert (Matinee):

Spend the afternoon and bring a picnic in the surroundings of Nowton Park Concert Arena just off the town centre at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

An Exclusive full show performance by Gilbert O’Sullivan and his Band including exclusive meet and greet after show in the Gold Circle.  Featuring all the hits and all the stories the way only Gilbert O’Sullivan can.

One of the industry’s true legends, an astonishing 50 plus years since Gilbert O’Sullivan made his first foray into the music business with the release of his debut single ‘Disappear’.  It launched O’Sullivan on a career that is still thriving five decades later – seeing him dominate the charts in the seventies and continue to enjoy success and acclaim to the present day.  Enjoy every facet of his history in this new live show, including classics such as Alone Again Naturally, Nothing Rhymed, Clair Matrimony and Get Down as well as songs from the latest album Latin Ala G including ‘No Way’ and ‘I Guess I’ll Always Love You’.

Following the UK chart success of his Essential Collection album Gilbert appears at the Bury St Edmunds Festival in a special matinee picnic concert to celebrate his five decades of music – GREATEST HITS and more.

The show begins at 1.30pm, on 26th May. Note: arena Gates open 12.30pm, Car Parks open: 11.30am.

The Ultimate Feelgood Saturday Night ‘Picnic Party in The Park’:

Come dressed to party and dig out your platform heels and 70’s flares and retro clothes and join us to get down to all the ABBA hits and more recreated live in sound and vision on stage by the world’s number one touring ABBA production – Abba Mania. Bring a picnic and all your family and friends!

It has not been 31 years since ABBA last toured and as you can imagine, in 1979 requests for tickets far outstripped availability with two Royal Albert Hall performances receiving 2 million requests for tickets, with only 5000 available. Today ABBA MANIA continues to grip the nation with countless tributes on television, radio and of course with the hugely popular stage hit Mamma Mia, now a feature film, so there are no signs that this popularity is slowing down.

ABBA Mania takes you back in time by recreating one of the world’s finest pop groups in a live stage performance.  This highly polished and professional production was created in 1999 and played its first shows in 2000.  In 2002 Abba Mania was invited to perform at London’s West End, and played for 18 weeks at the Strand Theatre.  In November 2002, the show made its German debut at the Deutsches Theatre Munich where it sold every seat in the house for 21 performances!

All the hits and more will just keep on coming in this full evening non-stop show:- Waterloo, Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Voulez Vous, Supertrouper, Winner Takes It All, Knowing Me Knowing You, Take A Chance on Me, I Have A Dream, Money Money Money, Thank You For The Music, The Name Of The Game, Lay All Your Love On Me, S-O-S, Fernando, Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)… the list is endless!

Thank ABBA for the music!

The show begins at 7.30pm, on 26th May. Note: arena gates open 6pm.
