Music of Elmo Hope
Pianist Claus Raible (Germany) and tenor saxophonist, Herwig Gradischnig (Austrian) explore the music of bop pianist/composer Elmo Hope, with trumpeter Steve Fishwick, bassist Giorgos Antoniou (Greek) and drummer Matt Home (UK). American Elmo Hope (1923-67) has an extensive catalogue of original compositions to his name covering a very broad stylistic palette, that have only recently begun to be explored by jazz musicians today.
