The ‘Pirates of the Pavilion’ brand has been a firm favourite down on the South Coast in Weymouth since 2014, with a new adventure ever year, and we are excited to be bringing a new ‘Felixstowe-inspired’ production to the Spa Pavilion this August!

Lee Redwood, writer and director for Made to Measure Productions said: “It’s crazy to think these days, but go back 35 years or so and it wasn’t uncommon for the Christmas pantomime to open on Boxing Day and play all the way through to Easter…so it hasn’t always ‘just’ been a festive treat! At Made to Measure Productions we are passionate about pantomime and creating exciting new and innovative ways to progress this well-loved, traditionally British genre! Quite often, pantomime is one of the only times when generations can enjoy the same entertainment all-together – and why should that stop in January?! Our pantomime productions, especially our unique ‘Pirate’ panto, include jokes, songs, dance routines & visual effects which appeal to all ages from three to a hundred and three and we’re so excited to bring Pirates of the Pavilion to Felixstowe this summer! It’s full of swashbuckling summer fun for the whole family and absolutely one not to be missed!”

Pirates of the Pavilion features a professional cast of experienced pantomime performers, led by Top UK comic LIAM MELLOR as the hilarious SEADOG BILLY. Liam is well-known around the country for his pantomime appearances and can’t wait to be sailing the seven seas to Felixstowe this summer!

Seadog Billy is joined by the bumbling CAPTAIN FILIBUSTER (Robert Squire) and the plucky PIRATE POPPY (Isla Rose) as they search for the Lost Treasure of Cobbold’s Point!

But it’s not all plain-sailing, as the evil CAPTAIN BLACKHEAD is prowling and has more than a few tricks up his sleeve to beat them to the loot!

Don’t panic! The SPIRIT OF THE SEAS (Tegen Jones) is on hand to sprinkle some sparkle and weave a spell to ensure the crew of the Saucy Sally can save the day…with some glitz and glamour thrown in for good measure, of course!

Featuring a full supporting cast, stunning scenery, colourful costumes, dazzling dance routines, toe-tapping tunes and hilarious comedy by the barrelful, you won’t want to miss this brand-new summer pantomime spectacular!

But it’s not all for the kids…Have you ever watched a pantomime and wondered what mischief the cast would get up to if there weren’t any children in the audience? What if the cast have had one too many?!

Now’s your chance to find out…!

In addition to the matinee family shows, we’re featuring two evening performances of ‘P*ssed Up Panto’…and it won’t be for the faint-hearted – it’s panto as you’ve never seen it before! The hilarious performances are packed to the brim full of innuendo, hilarious comedy routines, parodies of well-known songs and audience participation, creating a performance that’s sure to be hilarious, cheeky, saucy and sometimes just a little bit naughty…okay…very naughty…!

Our crew can’t wait…and neither should you – don’t be Sharkbait, climb aboard and hook your tickets now! PIRATES OF THE PAVILION hits the stage on 25th & 26th August with family shows at 3pm and ‘P*ssed Up Panto’ at 8pm each day.
