An all-star cast feature in producer Bill Kenwright’s Rehearsal for Murder
After last year’s Theatre Royal hit And Then There Were None acclaimed theatre producer Bill Kenwright returns to the Regency Theatre. Following on from the decade-long success of The Agatha Christie Theatre Company comes a new production from the writing team behind Columbo and Murder She Wrote.
This thrilling play revolves around playwright Alex Dennison, he is left heartbroken when his fiancée and leading lady Monica Welles is found dead from an apparent suicide. On the anniversary of that ill-fated night, Alex assembles the same cast and crew in the same theatre, for a reading of his new play. But as the reading begins, it becomes clear that Alex believes that Monica was murdered and he intends to uncover her killer…
The star cast features some recognisable faces from across television. Fresh from playing the evil Gordon Livesy in Emmerdale actor Gary Mavers well known for his roles in Peak Practice and Casualty. He is joined in the cast by Alex Ferns who gripped the nation as the villainous Trevor Morgan in EastEnders, Susie Amy who will be remembered as the much love Chardonnay in Footballers’ Wives, the cast is completed by movie actress and chart topper Anita Harris (Carry On), regular West End performer Mark Wynter, Holby City actor Lauren Drummond and Ben Nealon, who appeared at the Theatre Royal in last year’s production of And Then There Were None (Soldier Soldier).

Rehearsal for Murder will visit The Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds between Monday 8th – Saturday 13th August.
