Sheridan will perform her own interpretation of a number of classic songs including well-known tracks from musicals like Dreamgirls and La La Land.

Also on the set-list will be her version of the Cilla Black classic, Anyone Who Had A Heart, as well as the Fanny Brice song My Man.

And there will be some pop hits too including Crazy and the Robert Palmer classic Addicted To Love.

This UK tour, which will also include a date at the Royal Albert Hall in London, will be her debut solo tour.

And it is the latest chapter in an illustrious career which has seen her take on lead roles in a host of hit shows including Little Shop Of Horrors, Legally Blonde and most recently Funny Girl.

She has also won critical acclaim for a number of TV roles including the lead role in the biopic of Cilla Black, and Karen Bushby in the BBC’s gritty retelling of the search for missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews entitled The Moorside.

John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: “We are very excited to welcome Sheridan Smith to the city for this exciting musical showcase. She has an enviable ability to make so many key characters her own and this will be a fantastic chance to enjoy her incredible vocal abilities.”

Sheridan Smith will be at the Norwich Theatre Royal on Sunday April 22 at 7.30pm. Tickets £10-£57.50, with Discounts for Friends. For more information or to book, visit www.theatreroyalnorwich.co.uk or call the box office on 01603 630000.
