Simon & Garfunkel: Through the Years

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is thrilled to be welcoming Bookends to the stage with their breath-taking concert Simon & Garfunkel: Through the Years. Described as “not your average tribute show”, Bookends don’t dress up or try to impersonate the performers but instead pay tribute to the iconic sound that the duo are famous for by recreating the perfect harmonies, timing and diction that mesmerised a generation.

This concert is a wonderful chance to hear many of the hits such as The Sound of Silence, Mrs Robinson and The Boxer performed live and of course also featured in the show is a beautiful rendition of the unforgettable Bridge Over Troubled Water. This is without a doubt the closest thing to Simon & Garfunkel touring the world today.

Dan Haynes and Pete Richards, collectively known as Bookends have toured the globe extensively performing the songs in a truly captivating way against a backdrop of iconic imagery. Their delicate recreation of the unmistakable sound of the American folk-rock duo is something of a masterpiece.

Speaking on the upcoming visit to Theatre Royal, Dan said: “We are really looking forward to performing in a new area and venue, it looks like an amazing space and I can’t wait to get on stage there, we’ve never been to Bury St Edmunds before”.

Simon & Garfunkel: Through the Years will be at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday 30th May, 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale at the Box Office, call 01284 769505, book online at or visit the theatre in person.
