Sudbury Arts Centre is holding its showcase soft launch opening event in St Peter’s on Saturday 28th October.  Really really good news for the town.  Doors open at 10am and there will be lots of activities for children and the young at heart!

There will be dressing up fun with historic costumes, a Make a Green Man clay workshop, colouring and crafting  Activities, Community Silk Mouse display, a Silk Mouse Trail,  Birds of Prey in the graveyard, and more!

10 am
The Mayor of Sudbury Town Council, Cllr. Jan Osborne, and President of The Friends of St Peter’s, Mr Roger Green, will cut the ribbon and the doors will open, we hope the bells will be ringing and a Town Crier will announce the opening. 

10:30am
Music kicks off when the Lewis Organ will breathe again, played by Roger Green followed by Rock Choir and ‘The Clangers‘ Hand-Bells until midday

11 am
FREE Celebration Day 2-hour Drawing Workshop with artist Michele Ranson
Unleash your creative side and have a go at drawing the building or an element of the building.  Local artist Michele Ranson will guide you, and your pictures will be displayed at the end of the session for all to see! All materials are provided.  (outside/inside depending on weather).  Spaces are limited to 8 people – BOOK HERE

1:30pm
Morris dancing workshop with the Belchamp Morris followed by a performance by the Morris at 2:00pm.

3:00pm Performance by singer/songwriter Grace Calver  will be followed by Piper Trisha Drawbridge piping the doors closed from 3:45pm so that our staff and wonderful volunteers can have a break before the evening commences. 

‘WE ARE HERE’  AN EVENING OF LIVE MUSIC 
Doors open at 6:00pm.

Tickets are free of charge, to ensure that those on limited income are able to come, but must be reserved in advance.  BOOK HERE
