The Real Thing & Odyssey

A “soulsational” live music spectacular starring original Seventies soul stars The Real Thing and Odyssey plays Ipswich Regent on Sunday May 13th, 7.30pm.

Backed by their talented live band, the legendary Real Thing – featuring three of their original lead vocalists – will perform their number one single You to Me Are Everything. Joining them on an evening of non-stop dance music classics will by fellow chart-toppers Odyssey.

The Real Thing will be performing hits from the Seventies and Eighties such as Can’t Get By Without You, Can You Feel the Force, You’ll Never Know What You’re Missing, Whenever You Want My Love and So Much Love to Give, plus their jazz funk classic Children of the Ghetto in addition to the soul classic You to Me Are Everything.

Odyssey’s incredible repertoire includes club anthems Native New Yorker, Going Back to My Roots, Inside Out, If You’re Looking for a Way Out, Hang Together and Magic Touch as well as their number one single Use It Up and Wear It Out.

The evening features The Real Thing’s original vocalists – Chris Amoo and Dave Smith – backed by their critically-acclaimed band; and following the sad passing of fellow original member Eddy Amoo, the band will be dedicating the group’s forthcoming tour to his memory.

While, Odyssey continue the legacy of sisters Lillian and Louise Lopez and Tony Reynolds in the form of Lillian’s son Steven, bringing a taste of the Big Apple to town for 2018.
