Cabaret Supper with Irving Stage Company

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is proud to support local community theatre companies, and now one of them is supporting the theatre back in return, with a new fundraiser. Cabaret Supper with Irving Stage Company will present audiences with a night of musical performances including drinks and supper served in the Greene Room Bar (Sat 29 Jun).

In joint celebration of the theatre’s 200th Anniversary year and the 60th year of Irving Stage Company, the ISC team have put together an exciting programme of musical numbers from their shows of the past, present and future. The evening will begin with drinks and supper served in the elegant Greene Room Bar, and in the theatre’s garden should weather permit. Guests will then take their seats in the auditorium to be entertained from the stage by the performers from Irving Stage Company, staged and choreographed by the ISC creative team. There will be songs from Guys and Dolls, Chicago, Top Hat, Chess, My Fair Lady, A Chorus Line and Company, as well as a sprinkling of sketches and a song or two from shows currently wowing the West End.

Julie Merrick, of Irving Stage Company said, “The Irving team is so pleased to be able to take part in this joint celebration with Theatre Royal, our home from home, as we both mark our anniversaries. We believe our programme showcases the very best of our company: past, present and future all from much-loved and legendary musicals and shows.”

Irving Stage Company was founded in 1959 by a group of enthusiasts anxious to present high quality theatre in West Suffolk. In 2018 the company presented productions of The Producers (“To say the least, I was very impressed” – Polkadot Pages Blog) and ‘Allo ‘Allo (“a real crowd-pleaser” – Bury Free Press), and they will be back again later in the year with a staging of My Fair Lady.

Cabaret Supper with Irving Stage Company is at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds for one night only, Sat 29 Jun at 6.30pm, and is a fundraising event to support Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds (Registered Charity Number 242977).

Tickets are on sale at the Box Office, call 01284 769505, book online at or visit the theatre in person.
