Currently touring the UK, this brand new interactive show is for all the family, and ideal for children added three upwards.

Dinosaur World introduces audiences to the lost island of Mundo De Los Lagartos Terribles off the east coast of South America, a land of giant lizards, rumoured to be inhabited by dinosaurs who’d escaped mass extinction at the end of the cretaceous period.

Using stunning puppetry to bring a range of life-like dinosaurs to the stage, the show reveals a host of impressive creatures including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, along with a Giraffatitan, Segnosaurus and baby Triceratops, to name a few!

The live show is followed by a post-show ‘meat and greet’ where audience members have the opportunity to meet the dinosaurs in person.

Not only will it be an entertaining and engaging experience but it will also educate young people (and adults) about these incredible creatures from the Mesozoic era.

Dinosaur World is written and directed by Derek Bond (Sweet Charity, Manchester Theatre Awards 2017 winner, Little Shop of Horrors Manchester Royal Exchange), while the creative team includes puppet designer Max Humphries (National Theatre, Royal Opera House, Cirque de Soleil) and puppetry consultant Toby Olié (Toby was the original hind puppeteer of Joey in War Horse and one half of the Gyre and Gimble team who designed the animals for Running Wild which delighted Norwich audiences in May this year).

Puppet director is Laura Cubitt who worked on Don Quixote for the RSC; War Horse for NT Berlin, and Running Wild at Chichester Festival Theatre. Set and costume design is by James Perkins, lighting design by John Maddox and sound design by Tom Mann.

Dinosaur World is performed by Danielle Stagg (Miranda), Yana Penrose (Puppeteer), James Taylor (Puppeteer), Emma Thornett (Puppeteer) and Rafe Young (Puppeteer).

Judy Foster, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said:

“Dinosaurs offer a never-ending source of fascination for young children, and grown-up children too. These glorious, colourful puppets will absolutely delight all members of the family and give a taste of what it might have been like to walk with dinosaurs.”
