Grease is The Word

Bury St Edmunds Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (BSEAODS) is ready to take the Theatre Royal stage by storm from the 11th – 15th October with its latest production, Grease.

Still a timeless classic after over 35 years, Grease first exploded onto the screens in 1978, launching the careers of Olivia Newton John and John Travolta into the singing stratosphere. Lou Petch, BSEAODS’ director, says: “I remember when the film came out and have been in love with the story, the dances and obviously the songs ever since.”

An all-amateur cast of 34 will perform this much-loved piece in just a few short weeks’ time, having been rehearsing since June. Expertly led by Lou Petch, director, Jackie Strahm, choreographer, and Simon Pearce as musical director, the run up to the show has been great fun.
