Hippodrome Circus Christmas Show

Britain’s Got Talent star BEN LANGLEY has joined the Hippodrome Circus and helped it break its all time Christmas record. The Hippodrome owner Peter Jay said “Ben and Jack Jay have created a blockbuster hit show, described by the Eastern Daily Press (Stacia Briggs) as absolutely jam packed from start to finish with a dazzling array of acts from across the globe”

World class circus acts, including the stunning Cuban Teeterboard acrobats the CUBAN REVOLUTION, the world’s greatest Juggler ROBERTO CARLOS from Mexico, spell binding Ukraine hand to hand strongmen, and the heart stopping WHEEL OF DEATH from South America. This stunning cast are joined by stunning dancers and swimmers along with the wonderful children from Dance Estelle. Its jaw dropping cast of over 50 performers create a Christmas Spectacular like no other.

Stacia also described the Hippodrome as “the very definition of atmosphere and said she could watch it all day”. The record breaking show, in her words, is “one of Norfolk’s true treasures and has made its Christmas show a brand new tradition.”

Produced by JACK JAY and lit by BEN JAY, the show now has a new Jay – Ben’s son BILLY JAY aged 13 is playing the percussion following in his grandad PETER JAY’s famous footsteps. Peter said “He’s a natural and has made a great addition to the show, which is sensational. I played percussion for a couple of years and it is very mind consuming but gives you a great buzz. I’m proud to have the latest member of the Jays playing the drums and carrying on the tradition of our family.”

Peter Jay had year’s early played drums on nationwide tours with his group the Jaywalkers with the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tina Turner and the Beach Boys. Peter Jay said “To have Billy as part of this incredibly successful show has made my Christmas especially special!”  Jack Jay also played drums for the circus before becoming its producer. “It’s in the Jays genes” he said.
