Immersion Theatre Returns With Rapunzel to Bury St Edmunds

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is delighted to welcome Immersion Theatre back to the stage with their brand-new musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale Rapunzel. Performed in their signature tongue-in-cheek pantomimic style, the show promises to be a treat for the whole family to enjoy (Sat 22 & Sun 23 Feb).

Rapunzel is the latest production from family theatre specialist, Immersion Theatre Company, following a critically-acclaimed 2019 season which included their Spring tour of The Amazing Adventures of Pinocchio and summer tours of Alice in Wonderland and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Immersion Theatre are also co-founders of Prime Pantomimes alongside Selladoor Worldwide. The inaugural 2019 season saw four pantomimes produced; Snow White, Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and Aladdin.

Rapunzel will be given the Immersion treatment, meaning larger-than-life characters, a superb cast, audience interaction, and high-quality sets and costumes. Both the script and music have been specially written for the production, so it will be a completely new and exciting version of the well-known fairy tale. With magic and mayhem throughout and a chance to meet the characters after the show, this is one hair-raising adventure your family won’t want to miss.
