[Insert Laughter Here] Present Their Biggest Show Yet!

Following two sold-out shows, Bury St Edmunds based [Insert Laughter Here] are back again for another night of improvised comedy madness, this time at The Hunter Club. The group continue to push the boundaries, promising chaos and laughter with their biggest show to date on Friday 25 October, 7.30pm.

Playing a series of improvisation games which will be familiar to fans of Whose Line is it Anyway, the performers let the audience provide suggestions of character quirks, scenarios and other elements to slot into the games, before using their quick wits to turn them into hilarious scenes from scratch. The format of the show has been expanded this time round, with several brand-new games including more opportunities for the audience to get involved and even the chance to get up on stage themselves.

The performers, who have previously played to packed houses at Moyse’s Hall Museum and The Unitarian Meeting House, will now take the stage in the main hall at The Hunter Club on St Andrews Street South, with the audience surrounding them on three sides seated cabaret style. The team consists of Abbie Cameron-Laker, Alfred Dry, Ian Norris, Mark Taylor and Will Rice. The show is hosted, directed and produced by Aaron Weight under the umbrella of his production company Xtreme Productions.

[Insert Laughter Here] will also be contributing to the line-up of a charity open mic event: Fine/Not Fine – a mental health charity also based in Bury St Edmunds will be hosting an evening of guests to mark World Mental Health Day on Thu 10 Oct, also at the Hunter Club. The performers will play improvisation games as interludes between the other speakers. The event is free to attend with donations encouraged.

[Insert Laughter Here] at Hunter Club is Fri 25 Oct at 7.30pm, the doors open at 7pm and there is a minimum age of 16+ because nothing is planned and the performers can (and often do) perform scenes which contain adult content or swearing.

Tickets are on sale via Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds’ Box Office on 01284 769505, book online at www.theatreroyal.org/insert-laughter-here or visit the theatre in person.
