Mercury Theatre Gala

Prepare for black tie glitz, as the last few tickets remain for an exclusive Mercury Theatre gala dinner, hosted by One Foot in the Grave star Richard Wilson OBE.

On the evening of Friday 2nd March, the Mercury Theatre is taking over Colchester Town Hall to host a special black tie event in aid of the Mercury Rising capital appeal. The event will include a champagne reception held in the Mayor’s Parlour, followed by three-course meal and entertainment in the beautiful Moot Hall. The Mercury invites guests to be part of something special to help raise money to transform the Mercury and bring the joy of theatre to the wider community.

The event will be hosted by revered actor and theatre friend Richard Wilson OBE. Known for his iconic role as Victor Meldrew in TV’s One Foot in the Grave, Richard has years of experience in theatre, winning awards for both acting and directing.
